I am travelling to Vietnam in early December and keen to go to Hoi An and Hue but understand that the weather may not be great. Has anyone had experience of travelling in that area during December? Any tips? What was the weather like?

Hi, does anyone know is it is now possible for foreigners to take this bus, in the eastern part of Myanmar? I read in 2017 that it was closed to foreigners but I saw another post in 2018 saying that this was soon supposed to change. Thanks !

Does any one know if the middle name is mandatory for receiving moneygram in Vietnam? My sender only put first name and surname. He didn't give middle name. Will that be an issue to collect money?
I usually receives moneygram from my home country without middle name(with my first name and surname only). But I was wondering if it is possible in Vietnam since I am in other country? Thanks in Advance!

In the near future I will be travelling on a sleeper train in Vietnam. I intend to travel light. I will do what I can to avoid problems with luggage stowage on the train. My guess is that there is half a bunk length, and bunks width for my bag to fit in, say 3ft by 2ft 3 ins. minimum. This would not be a problem for me. My question for anyone reading this is, how high is that space under the lower bunk?

We are a family of 4, with 2 children of 13 and 11 years. We have been travelling and backbacking a lot in Asia and we are planning to go to Myanmar for 3 weeks this July/August. I have been reading quite a bit now about Myanmar and I read most of the time people doing the same highlights (Bagan, Mandelay, Inle, Yangon, Kyaikto, sometimes Hsipaw) and it seems to me that it is getting more and more touristic at these places so I am doubting if we are going to like that so much. So I am thinking…
