hello,
i have just come from thailand and was a bit dissapointed to find the phones werent much cheaper there than in the uk, has anyone got any knowledge about buyin a phone in vietnam? any recommnded areas where there is the possibility of alot of choice esp welcome. im in hanoi at the mo but any knowledge would be great for me because il be travelling around.
thank you!
i read in my book that there are two english language newspapers in vietnam but i cant find either of them at all! although weirdly enough i found the bangkok post...
i have been in hanoi 3 days and looked at all newspaper stands i see inc. the really touristy parts... and info greatly apprecitated, thanks.
Am flying into Hanoi from Bangkok with Air Asia and going overland back to Thailand, what am wondering is can i get my Vietnam visa at the airport when i arrive or do i need to get this before fly ??
If so where and how long does it take ?? oh and how much ?
Also will there be any problem not have an onward ticket out of the country ??
I've searched and it seems the consensus is to book domestic flights in Vietnam once you are there, rather than try to do it from overseas.
Is this right?
How busy would the flights be in March?
Is it usually easy to get the flights you want without booking ahead?
Came over the bridge to Nong Khai from Vientiane yesterday. Laos exit was smooth, they even ignored the exit fee of $2000 kip. I am proud that I balanced my expenditures such that I had about 40000 kip left and promptly sold them to a tourist entering Laos from Thailand, exempting a single note I kep for a souvenir.
Had a very pleasant day and a half in Nong Kai, staying down near the market in a place recommended by the people at Mutmee GH. If I were going again to this area I would surely…
any tips on cheap airfares re the above itinerary?? thanks!
Kia ora everyone,
Has anyone done the trip inland from Hoi An to Dalat by bike or otherwise? In particular I'm trying to work out whether it is possible to hire a bike in Hoi An/Danang and then drop it off in Dalat.
Also has anyone been to Yok Don NP recently? Do you think it's worth a visit? From what I've heard it is nigh on impossible to see actual wildlife.
Any help or experiences you've had wouldbe greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
James
