I want to fly to Phonsavan tomorrow, but for reasons i can't be arsed going into I don't want to book in advance. D'you reckon I'll be able to buy tickets at the airport if i just turn up a few hours before the flight?

We are travelling last minute from the United States to Asia for about a month. We fly into Bangkok and out of Vietnam. Since this trip is last minute and the holidays in Vietnam we are unable to get our visa for Vietnam while in the United States. We would like to travel immediately to either Cambodia or Laos prior to entering Vietnam. How easy is it for us to get a visa for Vietnam from either Laos or Cambodia? And are we able to book the visa from any travel agent in any town (ie Siem Reap)…

alright, i've got a wierd goal to go cliff jumping in every country I travel to, and so far I'm on track. I'll be travelling around SE asia for about 4 months this summer, and I was wondering if anyone knows of any good spots in cambodia, vietnam, laos, and thailand. It's a little bit of a random enquiry, but hey, I figured these forums would be the most likely spot to get some info. so, anyone know of any good cliffs to jump off of?

I'm arriving at hanoi airport at 8,30 pm and leaving the next morning at eleven. Is it possible to stay in the airport the night? I don't want to go through the hassle of paying for a taxi into and out of the city and for a hotel.

If it is possible, have you got any reccomendation of a quiet spot to sleep in?

Have finaly decided to make the trip to vietnam.
Will be going to Saigon then on to Hoi An and back the same route. The only time of year that is going to suit us is February, can anyone please let us know what the weather will be like in these two cities that time of year? It would come in handy so we can plan what to pack. O r I suppose another option is to pack very little and just buy the extrs clothing there. Even so it would be nice to know what sort of weather to expect.

I am considering travelling to Cambodia and perhaps Vietnam from late april (around the 20th) to early May.
What would you recommend to do and places to go and visit? (i am on a poor student budget)
on average, how much money should i plan to take with me for two weeks worth of travelling and exploration? I'm unsure about how much is ample to get by and have some fun while i'm there.
Is it advisable to get a lot of travel insurance, medical etc?

After our 5 day biking trip in the Mekong Delta we flew to Hanoi so we could visit the mountains.

After doing extensive pre-trip research, we knew that we were interested in visiting the mountains of the north to see how the tribal people lived and to see them in their native dress at some of the markets. Sapa sounded quite intriguing, but, at the same time, we’d also heard that it could be quite miserable in January and that in some ways it was now quite touristy. I’d thoroughly investigated…
