Hi guys,

Wondering if anyone could help me out with some info on the NP.

I'd really like to do some walking or exploring the park without a guide - is this possible? I'd be happy to do some of the caves on a tour but to just walk around and enjoy the landscape, do you need to have a guide?

I also wanted to ask a question about getting to the park... it looks like most options for accommodation are a few miles away from the park itself. I have tried googling but it doesn't look like there's…

Hello, I cannot seem to find updated and reliable info about Dambri Falls. I read they charge tourists a full price (180k dong?) even for not wanting to use their theme park, lift and roller-coaster. Can anyone advise me on how to see the falls only? We can walk down and up without help but we do not want to be scammed/ripped by forceful ticket sellers. 180k seems too much just for an entrance ticket.

thank you a million,

Hello,

I think I finally made up my mind about an itinerary in Vietnam, with kids aged 4 & 12, in August. Since it's high season, I'd like to plan & book as much as I can in order to avoid any mishaps or being stuck somewhere with the kids.

Is Baolau reliable to book transportation (I was thinking of bus tickets between Hue and Hoi An, Hoi An and Danang, and Can Tho - HCMC) ? I'm finding tickets on Baolau that don't appear on 12goasia, for instance ...

AirBnB : I've used it many times BUT is…

Hello,

We will be travelling in Vietnam (two families with kids aged 10-14) this coming spring. I was wondering what kind of accommodation would be relatively cheap but still nice to stay in- an agent we contacted suggested 3 star hotels- are there other, cheaper, options?

Thank you!

Hadar.

Hi,

Did anyone here do the cyclo tour in Hanoi? How long does it take? and would you recommend it for children young adults, or only for the elderly?

Also- can you simply rent a cyclo driver on your own instead of taking the whole tour?

Thank you!!!

Need help finding a shaman.

Hello I plan to go to somewhere in South-East Asia within the next year. My only goal for the trip is to find somewhere remote where they still have animistic beliefs and practice shamanism. I’m looking specifically for someone who can go into a trance and would appear to contact spirits. Im also looking for a shaman that has overcome or can help with what we would call in the western world psychosis. If you’ve come across this anywhere in south east Asia or even…

Hi,

I am going to Laos soon for about a week and I trying to decide where my final destination should be before leaving.

We are planning to go to Luang Prabang for about 4 days 3 nights but I am trying to decide where we should go for the last few day.

I was thinking of flying to Pakse to see the UNESCO site Wat Phu would this be a good idea? Is it better than spending those last 2 or 3 days in Vientiane. I have heard that the capital isn't all that worth it but I have also heard that Wat…

My family is going to Vietnam from mid-end of April. We heard that there are beautiful butterflies in Cuc Phuong at this time, and we wanted to see them. However, I heard from a travel agent in Hanoi that there is construction work there at the moment, and that we should not go there. Does anybody know whether this is this correct? In general, it is worth visiting the park for the butterflies (we will be several adults and age 10-14 children)

Thanks!!!

I am heading to Ao Lang in Phu Quoc in April and wondered if anyone knew if theres anywhere to eat cheap or what the average costs of a meal are? I love local food and if i can have a few meals a bit cheaper than resort prices it would be great! Do i have to head to the capital for this?
