Hi everyone,
Im going to be in Vietnam for just under a month and am going on an organised tour that has suggested taking backpacks instead of suitcases.
Im after some info from others that have taken packs.
What type of Packs have people taken - hybrid or travel packs?
What capacities?
Has anyone bought a pack to use once they got to Vietnam, or can anyone provide info on how easy they are to purchase and a rough price guide.
Im just not sure whether to buy a pack seeings they arent very cheap in…
I made the mistake of going to a local hairdresser in Hoian to get my cleaned and conditioned. The hairdresser used the wrong type of conditioner on my hair and washed it in such a manner that it has severly dreaded up and looks like a total birdsnest. I had to scream at her to stop as she was pulling large clumps out of my hair.
Is there anywhere in Ho Chi Minh I can go for a good conditioning treatment and trim?
I'm new to the whole eco-tourism idea. But, I would like to check it out. Any places that anyone could recommend in VN? Particulary interested in the area around Dalat.
Thanks in advance.
I am working in vietnam for all of june and want to fly to bkk from hcmc on july 4th and return on 21st july to connect with a flight to dublin.
I cant seem to be able to book this online with lufthansa/bangkok air.
Would i chance leaving it and bookin it when i get to hcmc in early june?
i could book it in hcmc in a travel agent when i get there ,there were loads all round that backpacker area when i was there last yr.
Is this a good idea?
I need to leave and come back on those exact dates…
I will be arriving in Vietnam after about a month in China and I'm not sure of my exact itinerary so I won't be able to book a Ha Long Bay tour very far in advance. Will be in the area at the end of Aprlil or early May.
If I plan to book thru Handspan or another of the high-end companies, how far in advance will I need to contact them in order to ensure I get a spot on the nicer junks at that time?
Thanks.
Can anyone tell me if there are left luggage facilities at Noibai airport in Hanoi. I will be flying down to HCMC for a few days and then returning to Hanoi to fly direct to Bangkok. I don't want to drag all my belongings with me to HCMC, just the stuff I need for a few days - I'd rather stash it at the airport if I can.
Hi I was wondering if anyone had any information on getting from Hong Kong to Vietnam the cheapest way possible! Whether by sea or by air.
If we were to travel overland by train through China without getting off at all- do we need a visa for China?
any info at all is much appreciated!!
Sorry I think I messed up the last message. Any way some friends and I are going to be travelling from HCMC through Cambodia, Laos and then back into Vietnam around Dong Ha and then on up to Hanoi, Halong Bay and Sapa. We are thinking that April ( not this year ) would be a good time, weather wise, would this be about right? We want the top part to be warm and not too much rain because thats where we will be spending most of our time, I know that Sapa would be a bit cooler being up in the…
I just published the third (and final) photo journal from my bicycle trip through Vietnam...
