Hello there! I am asking for some fellow travelers advice on whether to go to Hue, or not. Our current itinerary is as follows and we are having a tough time deciding what is our best option/and if it is worth the trip to go to Hue.

Day 1: Hanoi
Day 2/3: Ha Long Bay
Day 4: Ha Long Bay back to Hanoi (catch night train to Hue)
Day 5: (Arrive in Hue 11:00AM)
Day 6: (Hue ---> Phong Nha in the afternoon)
Day 7/8: Phong Nha
Day 9/10/11: Hoi An

The issue is that we'd really just be squeezing Hue in there…

Hi! I am trying to figure out the best way to see the Mekong Delta on a trip from Ho Chi Minh City to Phu Quoc in about 4 days/3 nights.

Day 1: Leave HCMC early AM...

Day 2:

Day 3:

Day 4: ...Arrive at either Ha Tien or Rach Gia by AM to catch fast ferry to Phu Quoc. Ferries leave Ha Tien and Rach Gia between 7:30 AM and 2:00 PM

We don't know much about the Mekong Delta, but from what we've read/heard, we would love to do a homestay in Vinh Long, see a floating market, and explore sights…

Just wondering if anybody can help?

I want to propose to my girlfriend at some point in Ha Long bay, preferable a private setting with a view of the bay after a short walk or I have read that a company set out a cave for a private meal with candles etc.

I have looked at boat cruises with Dragon legend and Indochina Junk. They look very good for the itinerary of things to do but it seems very structured and strict. Plus I don’t think I would get much time on my own.

I guess this is for all the Brits in particular (??), but I'm looking for advice on the Visa front. I'm planning / would like to travel to Vietnam for about 6 weeks, my friends are there currently and I've got the time between the job I just left and my brothers marriage, so I thought why not. I'd leave on probably April 10th to Ho Chi Minh and and come back May 30th from Hanoi to the UK. I want to know, in terms of Visa, is this possible, and if so what do I pick?

I have decided to take the late sleeper train from Hanoi to Hue. I understand that it gets booked up quickly. I arrive in Hanoi 4 days before my departure. Is the consensus that it'd be better to book online before leaving rather than booking in Hanoi when I arrive, maybe 2 days before? Thanks for any input.

My wife and I arrange to have a trip to Vietnam in June or July this year. We want to go to the places with fresh atmosphere and not too many tourists like rivers, beaches, villages and pagodas. I know some famous beaches in Vietnam like Mui Ne, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc. So which one is the best? A problem is that my wife gets pregnant. That's the reason why I don't like crowded places. So is it safe if travelling in Vietnam? Any infectious disease? Anyone suggest travel tips?
