I am traveling with my two daughters this summer. We plan to take a private car from Hoi An to Hue. We've read a bit about this option, but I cant find any info about what the best time to leave Hoi An would be if you want to have a seafood lunch in Lang Co beach (after stopping at Marble Mountain).

Thanks.

I am a typical expat – have been living in Ho Chi Minh City for just under 12 years; I am originally from the US; married to a wonderful Vietnamese women ; with three beautiful children (6, 3, and 1). I work fairly long hours with a multinational firm; language and cultural differences can be frustrating; air quality could definitely improve; traffic seems to be getting worse; but I wouldn’t change a thing! Saturdays and Sundays are devoted to my children as that is the only time I can spend…

Hi folks :)
I am planning an 18-day trip to Vietnam and Angor Wat (Cambodia) with my partner in June.
We are thinking of the following plan, but we are worried it might either be too tight or we are missing something out?
Any ideas

Day 1: Arrive at Saigon in the morning
Fly to Phu Quo island
Days 2,3: Phu Quo island.
Day 4 (morning) take the boat to HaTien, bus to KanPot and then bus to Phon Phen. Probably sleep at Phon Phen.
(Alternatively fly back to Saigon and take bus to Phom Phen and then Siem…

hi, all. We are a family of 5 heading to South Vietnam and Cambodia this fall. I'd like to visit the floating market in a smaller boat with just our family, so we can take our time, eat or drink if we feel like it, etc. We'll be staying in the delta, but we haven't yet settled on a town or hotel. Everything I see online is private tours from Ho Chi Minh city. Does anyone know if its possible to hire a boat and driver once you are in the delta? It feels like it should be, but I don't see…

Now, here's a challenge!

After visiting a number of countries in SE Asia, we are now planning a couple of months or so in Vietnam beginning early July, our first visit to the country.

We enjoy snorkelling and relaxing on a not-too-touristy beach, preferably with sun loungers & umbrellas (which offer more comfort for us oldies!), and are looking for a simple one-bedroom or studio apartment, with bathroom & kitchen facilities (not shared), air-conditioning and WiFi for a self-catering stay.

I'm going have an vacation in Vietnam in June for 2 weeks. Is it summer in Vietnam, right?. If so, do you know any good beaches in Vietnam? I don't want to spend my vacation in some too noisy and crowded places. Any suggestion about places to visit? Thanks in advance.

Hi all,
about you, 17 days is enough time to do one motorcycle trip from Hanoi to Saigon (or vice versa)?

First part of September is a good time to do it? Or I’ll find rain, rain and rain?

We (4 persons) had a fabulous experience with Truong Nguyen as our guide and driver for eight days in March 2017. We went from Hanoi to HaGiang to Dong Van & Meo Vac to Bao Lac to Ba Be Lake and back to Hanoi. Truong is a cautious driver, knows the spots and sights to see, knows when to stop at excellent photo opportunities and is so much fun to be with. He willingly took us on a longer route one day so that we could yet again see one more hilltribe village, which he knew would be interesting…

My family and I will be traveling to Vietnam at the end of June, landing in Hanoi. During our stay there, we'd like to visit Ba Vi National Park. The way I understand it, it's basically a steep climb to a viewpoint with a pagoda, so there doesn't seem to be much of a point in getting a guide to join us all the way. Am I right about this or does it pay to spend more than one day there?

Anyway, we were thinking of just getting a taxi in Hanoi to get there. A motorbike is not an option, since…

Hey guys,
I’m gonna travel from Hue to Hanoi tonight and will be there in tomorrow morning. As the ticket information I got from vexere, the coach will drop us on Ho Hoan Kiem Street, we plan to take some food for breakfast here before chilling around.
Do you know any delicious dishes on Ho Hoan Kiem street to recommend?
Thank you so much.
