Our group of 3 will be traveling to Ho Chi Minh City from 10/16-10/20. We normally rely on my T-Mobile international data but my carrier doesn't provide coverage in Vietnam. My phone is locked so I cannot use a local SIM neither.
Anybody here willing to be a general guide for a couple days as we are there? I just want to eat the good local cuisines and check out some of historic sites. We are all males around 30 and do not speak any Vietnamese.

I'm planning on visiting Vietnam in the last two weeks of October. I'm struggling to find info on where abouts in the region is good to visit at this time. Would the Mekong Delta be good to visit then? I'm also think of going up to Halong Bay so I guess the question extends the length of the country.

Hi, I've posted here before asking about this topic, but now I'm curious to know if anyone has used the Visa Exemption to fly either directly into Phu Quoc from outside Vietnam / into Phu Quoc from outside but transiting through one of the major airports (HCM / Hanoi etc...).
My undertanding is that, as Phu Quoc is designated a Special Economic Zone, it is possible to fly in Visa Exempt so long as you only stay in Phu Quoc (i.e - if you transit through one of the other airports, you don't leave…

Im planning a trip to Southern Vietnam and Taipei in late October/early November, and am trying to settle on the pace. I would really like a trip somewhat relaxed and is flexible on time. My question is if 9 days in Southern Vietnam can be relaxed. Im interested in exploring the Mekong Delta, see Ha Tien, Ho Chi Minh, and Dalat. I think I can do all of those in 9 days, but Im not sure if its possible to do it at a leisurely pace.

I am from Uganda and this will be my first time in South East Asia. I will fly from Cambodia to Go Chi Minh City on the 30th of December 2017. I have from the 30th Dec to 10 or 11th of January 2018. I have only about 12 days which is not a lot for this wonderful country. Would you please suggest some must see things and activities to do or the places to go. Or some kind of good hostels?
