I’m thinking of going to Ha Giang in a few days from Hanoi. The weather looks wet for the next week or so. Is anyone there now or Does anyone have any tips on what to look for in the forecast to make sure it’s not too wet or foggy? In general is early April very rainy?

As I know the north of Vietnam is entering the summer season, so the weather is quite good for traveling

Its a strange thing,statistically they say that oct and april are the best times to go but I just finished the ride,out of 4 days it was partly sunny for 2 and 2 were quit miserable,week before it rained the whole week and when I left rain was in theforecast for next 4 days.....asking locals some told me end may-june are the sunniest times.....if rain be very very careful o the first part from HG to Yen Minh ,there are serious potholes on that stetch and would be downright dangerous when they fill up withwater,rest of the road is okayish,roadworks are going on everywhere thoughbut its a stunning trip even in the rain :)
