Hey guys-

We're getting ready to head back to Vietnam, and we need to arrange for our visas. We'll be in both KL and Singapore w/in the next week, and we're trying to figure out where is better to get our visas. I've searched the forums, and I can't come up w/any solid info on prices, etc., so I was hoping you could help us. Has anyone gotten their visa in either of these countries recently? If so, how long did it take and what did it cost (I know the cost varies widely depending on which country you're in when you apply for it)? We're only planning on two days in Singapore, but could probably stay longer, if needed. KL we should be in for about five days, but unfortunately, two of those will be over the weekend, which will be working against us. What's the current situation w/the VOA in Hanoi? I was assuming that would be more expensive, but it's possible it will be our only resort. Damn. This was so easy before we had to stick to a flight schedule! Thanks for the advice!

Pending more up to date info being posted for you, I got a visa in KL in 2000. The rate then for a one month visa was 150RM, allow FIVE working days; 300RM for three working days. On my special request, the Vietnamese lady there kindly processed my 300RM visa in ONE working day, but I wouldn't count on this being repeated for you. I just happened to get the right person in the right mood.

Oi zoi oi! Thanks, ralph. We're going to call both embassies tomorrow, but were hoping to get some info over the weekend so we could possibly change our flights/itinerary, if needed. If anyone knows about getting a visa in Singapore, we'd appreciate your info too! Thanks.
