Hi all,

I'm currently in HCMC and will be making my way to Hanoi by rail in the next few days. I would really appreciate some information on getting from Hanoi to Hong Kong. I have priced flights already, and seem pretty steep at the $300 dollar mark. What options do i have for getting there that balance between money any time. I have about 3 days to get there from Hanoi, and want to spend as little as possible.

Yes, post #7 in FAQ Vietnam. I listed 3 border crossings and see travelmaven's report in that post.

If you want to fly at cheaper price, consider flight Hanoi - Bangkok - Macau with Air Asia. Book on line as soon as possible to get a cheap air fare.

Thanks for that, duh me for not checking FAQ. Any thoughts on why the Hanoi to HK flight is so expensive?
