Ninh Binh, and Ha Long Bay Cruise

Ninh Bình is worth to visit, you can visit Tam Cốc - Bích Động. June is nice time to see rice there. It is better if you can stay there one night then next đây move to Halong Bay from Ninh Binh so no need to be back Hanoi.

For Halong Bay, I prefer V'sprit Cruise or Swan cruise. Both of them are good 3 stars cruise with reasonable price.

Not worth it in your time frame, how are you going from Ninh Binh to Halong Bay?

I would just do Hanoi and Halong in 4 days, otherwise it will be too rushed and spend too long travelling.

We actually plan to go back to our hostel in Hanoi from Ninh Binh on the same day, then tour Ha Long Bay the following morning. But I guess yeah, we're going to save it for the future.

I got a minibus from Haiphong to Tam coc, avoiding Hanoi. I presume it must run in reverse, but no idea of the time. To get the best out of the Ninh Binh area you really need to stay one night, so you can hire a bike or moped and explore for the whole day. Probably best for the next trip.

Do you think Ninh Binh is worth the money and x number of hours of travel if we're only gonna stay for a day? Or would you recommend to save it for another future travel to Northern VietNam when there are no time constraints?

The 2nd. With only 4 days, stick to Hanoi and Halong Bay. You can do 2 nights in Halong bay, one night on the boat, and one night on Cat Ba island. That's worthwhile. And Hanoi is a fascinating city w/ lots to see.

Personally, you should spend time to visit Halong Bay or Ninh Binh only and you can spend 1 day to enjoy wonderful street foods and beautiful destination in Hanoi. I prefer to Halong Bay with Imperial Classic cruise

A race ! Stay with Halong only. Many superb things to see around Tam Coc, so you need TWO full days

I definitely agree that Ninh Binh is worth to visit and it just need one day tour. I recommend you choose: Hoa Lu - Tam Coc one day tour in Ninh Binh because Tam Coc at this time is very beautiful, you can have boat trip and see the yellow rice field.
With Ha Long 2 days one night tour, i recommend you go with Golden Cruise because it's good and save money

Hello! I'll be flying to Hanoi with my partner this coming June and will be staying for only 4 days. I understand it's too short. Hence, we're going to have to make the most out of our stay.

We're arriving on June 5 at 1AM and plan to do a day tour of Ninh Binh later on the same day. On the following day, we're eyeing to join a 2 days 1 night Ha Long Bay cruise.

As for the Ha Long Bay cruise, our very accommodating and helpful choice of hostel listed down a number of cruise companies that offer great 2 day tour deals. My partner and I have narrowed it down to Golden Cruise, Imperial Classic Cruise, Fantasea Cruise, and Apricot Cruise. I'd gladly appreciate if you guys can help me choose which among the 4 is better in terms of service, boat quality, and activities offered. I know there are far more better cruise deals out there, but we're trying to budget and save money as best as we could.
