I've read all the threads i can find, including the FAQS, that mention Ha Long Bay tours. LovePlanet gets a couple of mentions but apparently has cost about $50 in the past. I've now been quoted $80 plus $20 single supplement if i don't want to share a room.

It's cheaper than Handspan - nearly $300 including $60 single supplement! - but more expensive than i thought.

has anyone used Loveplanet recently and been quoted the same amount?

any raps, good or bad, about Loveplanet also welcome.

We did a day tour and it was around $20. I think to sleep on the boat (which I thought and still think looked a bit lame) it would cost from $40 upwards. But just book in Hanoi, every hotel has a tour operator and they all seem to be identical.
