You shouldn't dismiss Phu Quoc from your choices. It does have perhaps the best beaches in Vietnam. And there are two direct daily flights there from Hanoi. It's certainly large enough for you not to feel claustrophibic.

Lovely, contrasting opinions I see. I 'll probably end up closing my eyes and pointing the finger on the map and where it goes it goes :-)
Thanks all.
Danang beaches are great for you at this time, the sea is stable and cool, you can take time to visit around city near the beaches. The resort here very quality and clean, if you can see all of it.
I recommend to go Phu Quoc island . The beach is clean and beautiful . You can relax , go swimming , go kayaking , learn cooking , trek Phu Quoc national park, explore Tranh stream , etc.... It is interesting . Let try .
With 10 days , you can explore from northern to southern . Why do not you go ? I did it . If money is not problem , you can explore Hanoi - Ninh Binh - Halong - Hue - Danang - Hoi An - Sai Gon - Mekong Delta. Halong bay is a wonderful with great beaches . Let consider . you ca refer https://www.vietnamtourbooking.com/en/package-tours/vietnam-highlights-11-days.html
