I had read about this bar before I came and had seen it on TV in Canada last summer. It took me a while to find, this city is like a maze! Eventually got the map from their website www.lepub.org View
How many others of you have found this place? The beer was actually really cold, they have a big display telling you the temperature, mine was minus 4.5!! I had the burger which was one of the best meals I have had since starting my trip. Maybe the cleanest toilets in Asia, freindly staff, wi-fi internet. Good music. I was amazed to find it in Vietnam.
I missed the Le PUB in Saigon as ran out of time so I only went to the one in Hanoi. But anyway, too my question...
What is the best bar in Vietnam?

The best bar in Vietnam? It's the one you're sitting in, if you're lucky enough to be in Vietnam.

A 20 person bar with it's own web page. They offer their staff "social counseling" and interest free loans??? As bennies.I'm not trying to change the world just give me a beer.I'm heading up to the draft beer corner.

The Tam-Tam bar in Hoi An - best pool table I've ever played on and wicker chairs when you have a sweaty ass - nice!
Hanoi has plenty of good bars, especially those at the south west end of the Hoan Kiem. Plenty of others in the OQ- such as Red Beer, which brews its own beers. And of course bia hoi corner.
HCMC also has plenty of decent bars in D1. I also found a few in D3 but could not even begin to tell you where they were. (I wasn't drunk- just meandering, you understand). Also a brew pub on the Dong Khoi area called the Lion Bar.

Le Pub is good
Sailing Club on the beach in Nha Trang is about as nice a bar as there is in all of my travels in SE Asia, for a beach venue.
Cafe latin in Saigon gets my vote....
The beer at Red Beer might be good but the food is woeful and the service as bad ,..... for a place that pitches at a tourist market
Mao's Red bar in Ta Hien is great for atmosphere ...
and half man half noodle was sposed to be closed... but there was some funlooking stuff happening there in January.
