Hello everyone!

I have the opportunity of spending june and july in either Hanoi or Saigon, which do you think has the better weather?
From my research I know that Hanoi is hot, and Saigon is rainy, but I would like to know how to affects life on a day to day basis.

In fact, July is still summer season in Vietnam so the temperature is very high from 30oC-35oC. Therefore, you should travel around Hanoi or Saigon in the evening which will better than daytime. Further, Hanoi is rather boring in July, without special events and festivals. July is a time for beaches and sunshine, not smog and overwhelming heat!

Phu Quoc island or Con Dao island is a nice beach.

July is monsoon season in Saigon, not good, and, contrary to the North, no mountains to cool down ! So, it should be June in the south and July in the north, less hot and rainy than in the south

I went to both cities in July last year. Hanoi was mid-30s, very hot and dry. HCMC was low-30s cloudy and few afternoon showers, typical of the wet season.
I found HCMC much more pleasant. But it may not be like that every year.
