Hanoi Hotels Accomodation

I would not stay at this hotel : THANH AN HOTEL in Hanoi. Also, someone might approach you with a business card or pamplet that mentions another name "THE OLD QUARTER HOTEL". I understand that each hotel is offering its services: accomodation, tours, guides, etc. but after we chose to book through another company, their attitudes immediately changed. The friendly staff (we thought) became thugs or bullies to put it "nicely". The one service we chose to use in the hotel was laundry service but then they turned our clothes into "hostages". They would not return our clothes at their mentioned time until we paid for everything and packed our bags. Then these thugs decided to kick us out at 7:30pm in the evening with two men examining our room while we packed. We were very calm about the situation and waved sarcastically when we left. Be careful here. According to some other hotels, these men are renting this hotel and are offering packages for more than the going rate. Be careful here at THANH AN HOTEL
