guilin/nanning to hanoi

HI,

Has anybody actually gone from either Guilin or Nanning in China to Hanoi, Vietnam by plane? The LP says it can be done but I have looked up pretty much every asia airline (as well as airfrance) I can think of, but to no avail!

You will have to go via Guangzhou. China Southern Airlines, to do it on the one airline.

There is no direct flight between Nanning and Hanoi, but you can take a bus or a train. Find a post in FAQ Vietnam, a TTer mentioned how she got a Vietnam visa in Nanning and the direct bus.

i've done it by train.. it's comfortable, relatively quick and easy. much better than bussing it.
