Booking DMZ tour in Vietnam

We are going to Vietnam in April and are considering doing a 1 day tour from Hue to the DMZ. My question is whether it would be possible to leave Hoi An and take a bus to Hue on one day and then book a tour to the DMZ for the next day? Also, what time do tours from the DMZ normally return to Hue?

We don't have a ton of time in Vietnam and I am not sure how long we want to spend in Hue.

Yes, I arrived in Hue and booked my DMZ tour for the next day without a problem. My tour left at 6am, and returned about 6pm. A very long and exhausting day.

Yes, you can plan it that way. You should incorporate a trip to the Vinh Moc Tunnels along with the DMZ trip. All can be done in one long day, but the tunnels are worth it.

2-3 days in Hue would be ok. One day for the citadel, Dong Ba market, some pagodas, museum. One day by boat along Perfume River to visit 3 tombs and Thien Mu pagoda. One day for DMZ tour.

Plan to get back around 6-7pm (Agree with Commissioner, it's one hell of a long day).
