Hi, i will be in Vietnam for one month from mid Aug to mid Sept this year. As part of my itinerary i wondered if a visit to Con Dao island would be right for me. I have read up on it's history and that itself interests me, plus the island seems to be pretty light on tourists. Is the time of year a bad idea? I would certainly fly there and back after reading the ferry horror stories.
How long would you recc? I was thinking 2 whole days and fly back early on the third. Best place to stay on the relative cheap. I'm not flush enough for Six Senses.
Also would it be pretty easy to just go for a ramble on my own? I can't ride a motorbike so cycle or foot only?

All recent experiences here please share. Thanks

Con Dao is the best choice for you if you want to learn more about history, culture and admire the beauty of landscapes as well. Further, you can refer information at https://www.travelfish.org/transport/vietnam/saigon_and_surrounds/ba_ria_vung_tau/con_dao_islands/all
