Hello everybody !
I'm a French exchange student in Taiwan and I'm leaving for two weeks (in two days) for Vietnam and i would like some advices.
I will arrive at Ho Chi Minh and go directly to da nang by plan, then I will visit hue and hoi for maybe 5 days. After that I will pass by na trang and then finish with the Mekong delta. I didn't make plan yet so I can change my mind.
I don't know where to start in the Mekong I don't want to go in touristic cities and I'd like to go sleep at somebody place but I don't know how it works. Also i don't have driver licence so I will moove by bus , train etc. Do you have any recommandation ? Thank you for everything!

For 2 weeks in Vietnam, you can travel from the north to the south of Vietnam but if you want to the south of Vietnam only, you can refer to the itinerary: Saigon - Danang -Hoian- Ho Chi Minh - Mekong Delta - Saigon (Source: Vietnam Group Tour. For Mekong Delta, you can start at Cai Be and stay in there 2 days to enjoy floating market in early morning. Further, if you want to learn more about local life, you can homestay in there but almost local people can not speak English, so you should hire local guide or learn Vietnam a bit.
Hue and Hoi An are not too noisy although there are a number of tourists here, mainly foreign tourists. Mekong is covered with the system of rivers. The local people usually exchange goods on the river. The most interesting is taking part in floating markets such as Cai Rang and Phung Hiep. Besides, instead of renting a hotel, you can enjoy the homestay service here.

Hello

Have a nice day
