Who can find this song?

Country forums / South-East Asia Mainland / Laos

I have heard a remixed version of Zombie by the Cranberries, its mixed with who i think is Jay- Z. I heard it alot in Laos. However one time i really remebered hearing it well was in Luang Prabang at Lao Lao bar. And a few times whilst in Vnag Vieng... probably whilst tubing!

Im hoping that somebody is able to help me find out what is?!!?

Thanks in advance

Graham x

Hi Jason,
Maybe you are referring to the DJ Supreme - Zombie Remix? it is a techno remix.

I don't know of one with Jay-Z

Sorry, I meant Graham :)

my god, i've never heard a worse mix than that link above....absolutely SLATED a perfectly good song!!!

Zombie has been big in Laos for the past year. You will hear the original as well as Lao covers by live bands. It's a good song, I like it... :)

4

i know its an awful mix,... but one of those good memories if you know what i mean!! So if anyones in Lao Lao Gardens in Luang Prabang please find out!!!

5

I must be an old man. Few times I was in Lao Lao and thought the music was bad techo mix. Not my cup of tea...I've a friend who knows the manager of Lao Lao very well. Let me see if I can get some info.

Oh this is bad news! Just when I thought Laos was finally getting over it's very long lived Eagles - Hotel California obsession they take to the Cranberries.
Does this mean we'll be hearing Zombie for the next 20 years????

As a slight aside, I've recently begun to notice lots of Clash t-shirts and stickers around and about. If the country was to take a sudden shine to a song like London Calling things mightn't be so bad.

God! I'm getting old! Where's my zimmer frame? "In my day etc, etc........."

8

at least it's the cranberries, the better of irish bands...and not U2!!! :)

#9 .. Whats this is Lao turning into a Clash fans Mecca, can it mean that we will hear classics like.. Charlie don't surf, Jail guitar doors, All lost in the Supermarket, and that all time fave of mine, Stay free... Let's hope so.......

10

.Actually Paddy I don't mind the Cranberries to be honest. Haven't had a chance to listen to much music lately so got any good new Irish bands you can recommend. None of your Irish Country and Western or Hip-Hop though mind you (is there such a thing as Irish Hip Hop???).

11

A piss take on Irish Hip Hop :)

Irish bands, check out Snow Patrol, Paddy Casey, Bell X1, The Thrills, Juliet Turner....unfortunately some of our best music doesn't get exported, only the trash! The Cranberries are an exception...and i suppose U2!!! :)

I love a good thread!!

13

i know it's great innit!! :)

I guess I was born on the wrong side of the world...I'm lost! The cranberries?
