Hey

Is there any other airline that flies from Vientiane to Hanoi other than Laos Airlines?

Alternatively, what is the best way of getting from Laos (we'll be in the top section) to Vietnam north? We're thinking of doing the Mekong from Thailand down to Louang Phabang and Van Viang. Any suggestions?

Vientiane is in Loas and Hanoi is in Vietnam two different country! Here read this and see the map. Loas is the cute little country on the left. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vietnam
