#9 yes was in Malawi July/August and off the internet most of the time and saw his "resignation letter" when I got back. I was surprised at the support he got

I will miss some of his posts like the one where he declared Malaysia was a horrible place, because there were no cheap hotels near the airports with transits, the exchange rate was a rip off and it was expensive to get into KL. However he visited KL a lot as he used it as a hub with flying Air Asia , an airline in other posts he said after more than 60 flights he"hated", .
A quick google on booking.com showed hotels meeting his criteria were easily available, most "regular" travelers would simply have a float of currency so they did not need to change money at the airport and of course the fact the airport is some 75klms from town does have an impact on the cost but the savvy traveler would do the split ticket trick
