| jilllund10:02 UTC27 Oct 2007 | I'm planning a cycling trip to Cambodia and the Mekong Delta and have several options.
Fly with Thai to Phnom Phen, cycle some loops of Cambodia, get Viet visa in PP, go through Mekong Delta and leave from Saigon. (Thai Air)
Is it cheaper to fly in and out of the same city?
If I fly in and out of PP I will need a re entry permit for Cambodia. Would I need to get a second visa if I haven't used up all my days? If I do need another visa can I get another e-visa from an internet cafe somewhere in the delta?
Thanks for any help. Jill

Cycling the main roads will be rather unpleasant, as trucks chase you down and road rule No 1 is survival of the fattest.
Why do you fly into PP ? If I were you, I'd take a bus from BKK to Cambo border and overland from there, minding you can always hop on the back of a pickup (dusty!) or a bus with your bike.

Because I don't like the Thai dogs. I got bitten in Ayuthaya, and had to get booster rabies injections. See my blog Sixty-Six, Solo and South East Asia on crazyguyonabike.com
The footprint guide says you can get a multi entry Viet visa in Bangkok. Does anyone know if that is so and the cost?
Then I can fly to Saigon, cycle through the Mekong delta cross into Cambodia with an e-visa, to save hassles with corrupt officials at the border and return to Vietnam then leave from Saigon.

PS I'll post on the On your Bike branch too.
