Hello!!

I am currently travelling through Vietnam on my way through to Cambodia. After much debate I have decided to spend the festivities in Vietnam, Xmas on Phu Quoc and NY in Ho Chi Minh, I am looking to spend the time hopefully with other travelers, if anyone can point me in the direction of the best place to stay in Phu Quoc (I've heard Long Beach?) A nice hotel; I wanna treat myself... It's Christmas!!! Also any touristy spots in Ho Chi Minh? Or any friendly folk gonna be out that way themselves?! 23 year old female from the UK, can supply own tinsel!!!!!

hello toni, i just came online to research phu quoc,to stay around xmas time. the main prob may be accomodation but then one bloke on this forum said there are always places to stay. if you are set on a great place then maybe it would be best to look around on internet and call up.

a girl from my dorm here in Quy Nhon is quite keen but not sure if she willl go,not sure if you could meet up with travellers there as it may be more for couples (there seem to be so many in vietnam)

please let me know what you decide as i may regret not going seeing as the government had big plans to develop it into a resort island

Yeah, there are couple's everywhere!! Currently in Nha Trang, arrived today so will see who I can round up and get out to the Island, but a Christmas on my own in a little hut will be one to tell the grandkids... in a Tom Hanks stylee... I'll let you know if I make it...
