Luang Nam Tha Guesthouses

Country forums / South-East Asia Mainland / Laos

Hi

Just wondering if anyone could suggest a good guesthouse to stay at in Lunag Nam Tha.
We've bokoed the Boat landing house for a couple of nights but they're fully booked when we'ree back from our trek :(.

Anywhere clean and with rooms with their own bathrooms would be great.

Cheers Chaps

Zuela's. New, private hot water bath, wardrobe, clean, English speakers, quiet, and ungodly cheap. 6$ in March. Lots of the private tour guides take thier customers there for price/ value. Wear shoes on the shined harwood floors and risk the wrath of Sai. Zuela's

You mentioned that you need to find a room for AFTER you take you hike. Thus, no problems, before you go on your hike, look around and find a nice place to stay after.

The weather is getting colder, better to take one with hot shower

We stayed at:

Kham King Guest House
Main Road, Next to Many Chan Guest House
Double room, clean, w/bathroom ensuite (hot water): 50,000

It was really cheap, really clean, and the family who runs the place is really great. We looked at a few places, but liked this one the best.

Just went to Zuelas. Nice rooms, good prices, near everything you need and very friendly people.

At Zuela's, try to get one of the upstairs rooms with the wooden floors: a) not as chilly as concrete in the early mornings; and b) quieter. Sai is a lovely woman, smart, good English, and fun to chat with. Also, she rents out motorbikes at reasonable prices.
