Long shot for a long board

Heard that they maybe some surfable spots in Shianaoukville (forgive the spelling) this time of year....

Any truth in that?

Sorry to take a quick dump, but in the few times I've been to S'ville I don't think I saw anything over half-meter waves which broke too close to shore for any ride. Others might have better news.

No way there is waves there. The only real swell in that area is from the indian ocean which is totally blocked off. Go to indo!

They are right. The waves are tiny, and I have not seen anyone surfing on the many trips I've been to SV. Still a fun place to visit though and swim.
