Laos Visa!

Hello,
I will be travelling to Laos in February, and plan on getting my visa upon arrival. I am, however, arriving after 10:00pm, will be be a problem? I know that might be a silly question, but basically I am just wondering if the visa office at the airport will be open all night, or if it closes at some point in the night and opens in the morning. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

And what about the other visa office? If we go by train at night, is it possible to get our visa on arrival?

If planes are landing (trains arriving) then immigrations and customs WILL be open, same all around the world. Different story if you plan to enter overland on foot, then you need to check hours the border is open. Some Lao border posts charge an "overtime fee" (buck or two) if you cross outside normal business hours. Be sure to have U$D for visa fees!

You'll be able to get a visa on arrival at Wattay as soon as you get off the plane. Current passport, passport size photo, fill out the visa application form and hand over 30 bucks US.
