| phillipking01:56 UTC17 Oct 2007 | I'm planning to travel from Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City to Cambodia then on to Laos. I want to cross from Cambodia to Laos on the Stung Treng-Veun Kham route.
I'm Canadian. There's no Laotian embassy here - the closest one is in Washington so it's not possible (or at best it's difficult) for me to get a Lao visa in advance before I leave home.
So, can I get a 15 or 30-day visa on arrival if I show up at the Cambodia-Laos border crossing? Or would it be better to get a visa in advance in Saigon or Phnom Penh (assuming that's possible).
Thanks. /Phil

Fee is $42 for Canadians, which is more than any other nationality, I don't know why this is so? Slip them an extra $10 and you can get the visa on the same day.
