I realize that this has been discussed before, but nothing seems to have been posted for a year, at least from my search. I just left Myanmar and the average 16 km. per day trek in easy terrain from Kawla to Inle Lake is one of my better memories. I booked a three day--two night--with Robin who is the brother of the owner of Golden Lily Guesthouse (has nice and clean economical in-suite bathroom rooms with a balcony view). Robin has been guiding for years and speaks perfect English. He is a wealth of information, particularly about botany and medicinal plants, but also about anything else you want to know. He is a teacher at heart and an intellectual, so loves to pass on his knowledge. The route he takes rarely meets up with other tours and if tours happen to meet, he changes course. Everyone in the villages seems to know him. And his tours are cheaper than most I believe (around $50) with fantastic meals, home stays in friendly places, finishing with a great boat trip to a hotel across the lake. I highly recommend Robin's tour.
Can I have his contact? | 1
He can be found through the Golden Lily Guesthouse which should be listed in the Lonely Planet guidebook. I am afraid that I no longer have the phone number. | 2
It does sound nice. I'm traveling to Myanmar this month. Can you provide me the contact email or phone for Robin or the Golden Lily? | 3
