HCMC to Hoi An.

I have read on this forum that you cannot travel by train directly from HCMC to Hoi An. I would like to do that journey by train and wonder where the closest town with a train station is to Hoi An and if it’s feasible (easily available and cost effective) to get a taxi from that town to Hoi An?

train to Danang - about 30 kms from Hoi An.

taxis available, quick and reasonably priced (bargain, of course) from Danang station to Hoi An.

Hop off at Da Nang station and take a cab to Hoi An. I think the fare costs around 10 dollars.
