Getting to Tham Phu Kham Cave and lagoo from Luang Prabang

I am looking for any information on how long it takes from Luang Prabang to the Tham Phu Kham cave and lagoon. I am staying in Luang Prabang and want to know if its possible to do a day trip???

It take about 5 hours -7 hours from Luang Prabang to Tham Phu Kham cave,Blue lagoon is same place with cave,I have drived the line this week from China,pls select No. 4 road not 13 road(I did a wrong line with 13 road which point by Lonely plant),it take more than 7 hours,but it only take about 5 hours with no. 4 road which I heard it from other guy in Vang Vieng.
Be careful to drive motor in Vang Vieng,My motor has turned over on the road and toll bridge,my arm and foot has got a little hurt,I'm fine with my wife and son in Vientiane now,We are going to Cambodia later.
