Actually somsai, it is "rack rate", also known as published rate. It is the rate that you will find displayed in those countries where displaying the rates is a must.

Agree with GorShar, the "giver me such and such rate or I bugger off" is completely the wrong approach; some frinedliness, on the other hand, never hurts.
