How It is possible to reach Pyin Oo Lwin from Inle Lake ? I've got to do through Mandalay ?

Has anyone ever used Nadar Kan Travel (Tosta Plaza, Yangon)?
We are planning to use this company for a tour; they ask us to pay the trip in advance.
Their website looks quite professional and their rates are very competative, but are they reliable?

Hi everyone.

I am hoping to travel to Myanmar in October and am looking at the options open to me for visa applications. Ideally, i would like to sort my visa out prior to travelling and am hoping to apply via the embassy in London. However, I am an Irish passport holder. Has anyone out there with an Irish passport applied for a visa from the Myanmar embassy in London? Do they accept applications from Ireland?

Hi, I'm planning a trip to Burma for a month in December/January and have come up wth a preliminary itinerary. I'm travelling with my 9 year old daughter and don't want to make the trip too hectic, but still want to see a lot of the interesting places. Does the itinerary below seem reasonable, or would it be better to cut out a few of the places. Would appreciate any comments/suggestions.

where is the river kwai and where the famous movie, by Richard Attenbourgh, The bridge on river kwai was shot . how to go there?

please suggest non touristy places in Myanmar ., and movies with background of Burma. there was a movie on some great master , which was hounded by authority and how his western discilpe tries to save him with breath taking views of river and locale. can anybody tell me the name of the movie .

Rumour is rampant, it will take 6 weeks... . . .

It is necessary any special permit to travel to Myitkyina ? What's kind of trip it is possible starting from Kyaukme or Hispaw ? Bus, train Boat ?

I have read a couple of posts on Ngapali Beach. Accomodation seems quite expensive. Do they have anything for a budget traveler.

What would it cost and what are they called?

Also are there any other beach areas where there is good snorkelling and budget accomodation in Burma?
