on air mandalay's website it seems that this route is flying daily...i remember reading it was only flying three or four days a week...or even less...does anyone know if the website is updated to winter schedule at 7 days a week?

Internal flights schedules are not reliable at the moment. I very much doubt there are going to be daily flights any time soon..... When are you planning to be there?

This year tourist numbers are down as many have cancelled, I would not count on anything. Keep “buffers” between your connecting flights.

Probably, they will fly everyday because winter is tourists season for the beach. So they will fly to Sittwae from beach too!!

Just got back from there, the travel agent told me the flights are technically going daily, but can be cancelled at short notice, so you may be stranded there for a day or two. advise caution, as i had a local flight cancelled at short notice, fortunately was transferred to another carrier.
it may be possible to take a speedboat(pencil boat) from Ngapali to sittwe for $US40.

OP, the flights to Sittwe had been reduced while the airport was being upgraded so, assuming that the upgrading is finished, the daily schedule is probably correct. I've flown many a plane with just a couple of people on it, so the flights may go on schedule regardless of capacity utilized. Still, a buffer is always a good idea when traveling in Burma.
