We got a similar quotation (up to 170.000) from several travel agency dealers. Anyone knows wheter it's possible to get a better deal?

OK taxi is expensive but she says there is a bus takes about 6 hours, cost 12,000.

Pretty sure there is no share taxis between Taunggyi and Loikaw...taxi or bus (or boat / taxi combo).
Taxi would be expensive as it has to travel back again, with no guarantee of return passengers.
You can take the bus in 2 directions, via Nyaungshwe/Heho/Aungban then down to Loikaw, or 'straight' down to the east of the lake from Taunggyi - Loikaw.

It's very reasonable rate for private taxi if you don't take Bus to Loikaw. After your trip , please share your Taxi information. Thanks!

Hey guys, thank you for the feedback! Taxi from Inle to Loikaw is offered for 140.000 Kyats by several dealers we visited (some others ask for more). We did some bargaining (not very intense), and we got a final quotation of 130.000 with "Travel Diary Tourism Service". So I guess it could be done even a bit cheaper. So tomorrow morning (9.00 a.m) we'll depart from The Manor hotel, just in case anyone is interested to join us in the last minute!!
