Hi everyone,
I will be traveling to Myanmar in late Jan / early Feb and have been hearing amazing things about Kanthaya Beach in Rakhine State but can't seem to find much information on the place online. So, if anyone has been there or even knows someone that has, it would be great to hear from you on the following questions:
- What is the best way to get to/from Kanthaya (from either Yangon or Panthein, and then to Pyay next)? Any current travel restrictions I should be aware of?
- I know it's supposed to be insanely quiet, but does this mean absolutely no other foreigners there? Does this make it more difficult to find accommodation licensed to put up foreigners?
- Any other coastal gems you could recommend? Been working in Laos for the past few months, so am dying to chill out on a nice, secluded beach :)
