July travelling a s Kalaw

I trekked from Kalaw (to Inle) a few years ago,in July.

It was slippery,muddy and sometimes rainy but not impossible As long as you are not worried about getting dirty!

Thank you. I don't mind mud but continual rain would be unpleasant. How steep is the area ? I'm wondering about trekking poles?

In july, there is heavy rain and the sun returns immediately. But trekking is not impossible. It is just necessary to pay attention on the mud and on the slippery ground. Plan good walking shoes. I recommand you trekking around Kalaw in Palaung villages. It's better than the trekking to Inle lake.

I didn't use trekking poles,but they might be useful.
