Is it really bad the situation to thbink not to go to Myanmar? I really want to go this year.
What are your options, postpone until later in year or go elsewhere? September I would consider Indonesia. Myanmar I always go between end October and February.
Inwa, another popular tourist destination near Mandalay is also flooded now and has been evacuated of Residents!
I have been in Indonesia in 2011, and this year my plan is go to Myanmar. I think i will try and I hope not to have many problems.
Well poop! I'm in the same boat. I'll be there at the beginning of September for just over 2 weeks. It looks like most of the flooding is in the south. Mrauk U seems to be hit as well, which sucks because that was the destination I was looking forward to going to the most. Happy travels and maybe I'll see you out there!
