Hello,

I have a flight from BKK to YGN and was wondering if it was possible, when in Myanmar, to get a flight onwards to India. I am planning on visiting Nepal afterwards and wanted to overland from India instead of flying back to BKK and then onwards to Nepal.

The flight from BKK to KTM is about $300, so if the flight from Myanmar to India was cheaper it would be worth considering.

Does anybody have any experience of this route?

Many thanx in advance.

I flew Indian Airlines from Calcutta to Yangon. Not cheap but glad that route existed.

can? yes, see nr 1. Cheap? NO< will in fact cost more as booking RETURN airasia.com BKK-RGN and purchase from some BKk agent a single to Kolkata BEFORE you set off (about 150US ALL in, incl taxes).
BIMAN (bangala deshi air) used to do this route with the stops (change Dhaka) but this has CEASED and Biman is near-broke
note that you also need then a visa for India, which also cost 100US for USAers=the same as you charge them. have never seen a report on getting/arranging that in RGN, though it should be possible
