It wasn't a problem for me in August. I booked the flight from Yangon to BKK with a tour desk in Yangon.
Can't see a reason not to be able to book it online. Don't forget your $10 departure tax when you leave.

airasia fares go up the sooner the flight is. also as you may have read, the web is often down for days/.weeks in Myanm. Tr-Agents can also book it for you (they use the fone to call the office), but its paymenty in US$%extra fees. all by all booking a orobale date for back acepting to pay for change is the better way

No problem for a one way ticket, I flew in on one, and once in Myanmar arranged the outbound, dont count on internet booking in Burma, most sites are blocked, or so slow the payment option will time out....

You won't have to pay a lot more for your return ticket. More then if you got a return, but hey so what's a little more?
