Flying from yangoon to Calcutta

Indian Airlines.. not cheap. Likely cheaper to fly back to Bangkok and then to India from there.

as suggested above flying via bangkok is probably gonna be cheaper. Try AirAsia to BKK; then Air India Express BKK to Kolkata/calcutta. (check it out/book online),

Air Mandalay flies a few days a week (if not suspended due to recent political turmoil) from Chiang Mai Thailand to Mandalay, but you can not fly the reverse, all flights out of Burma are via Yangon.

Indian flies and, if Calcutta is your destination, it may be cheaper to buy Indian. If you're going on to Delhi, via BKK will almost certainly be cheaper. Unfortunately, you can't book that flight online, so check in BKK. (Note also that they only fly twice a week.)

And, the Yangon office is on Sule Pagoda Road (facing north from the pagoda it is almost immediately on the left). I assume though that you'll end up in Yangon close to your departure date and don't want to take a chance!
