I'm planning on taking my 80 year old mom to Myanmar in Jan. 2008 (my first trip was in 2003). We are hoping to on going Premium Economy on Thai Air which would get us to BKK on Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday. We arrive at 7 in the morning so we would like to take a flight to Myanmar the same day. From what I have read on LP, Air Asia no longer flies on those days. Tonight Air Asia is $134 return, Bangkok Airways is $320 return, Thai Air is $488 return.
Any other cheap airlines? Thanks.

At the moment AirAsia fly Mon, Wed and Fridays (early morning flight).. Presumably they will go back to daily flights again at some point.
If you fly Thai Airways to Bangkok, why not book the flight through to Yangon with them? They have several flights per day.
Air Bagan was another option.. I'm not sure what's happening there at the moment... Seems the owner has plans for early retirement.
You could look at Myanmar Airways (International).. but again.. some uncertainty over flights and schedule.

Air Asia departs Bangkok At 7:15 am so you arrived at 7 am, you'll miss that flight anyway. Say you arrive at 7am on Thursday, your next available Air Asia flight will be Friday at 7:15 am. So that should work out well. Having a night in Bangkok after a long distance flight will be good for your mum as well. :-)
