Hi,

We have been doing the rounds of travel agents in southern china to try and find a decently priced flight into myanmar from kunming and are not doing too well. the most recent price quote (from CITS) was 6000RM return which seems utterly ridiculous. Does anyone know of a good place to get tix in Kunming? Is going to the airport worthwhile? We have also been told that China Eastern don't fl there although we read in a recent post on TTF that they do...

Also, how long do visa applications usually take in Kunming? I know it is possible to gt them super-quick in Bangkok but am assuming it's a little less rapid up here.

Any help much appreciated!

1.you did not say if you want to fly into RGN or mand. also if you Do need return or not. FROm China it appears they only sell returns.
for RGN the flight/change in BKk (book airasia online) will work out cheaper
going to the airport and see whats there for INTERnational is duhhhhhhhh, (aka b..shit) youre not in USA
2.getting a visa in BKk CAN be swift IF you pay more. in fact notsobusy Myanm embassies tend to be better bets: less people to deal with. It appears any place in S-E-A does the same price [about 20/22USD) for normal = 3/4 day service and charges extra for speedy

I went a few years ago and think I flew on China Air. I don't remember what I paid, but didn't think it was too bad at the time.
