excited for last minute jaunt into myanmar and want to book flight for the next few days. we submitted evisa app today (thursday) and would ideally like to book our flight for sometime this weekend (my friend only has one week total (i'll be staying much longer)so we would want/need to get there asap to make it worthwhile. and no, we aren't near bangkok right now to be able to process the same-day! thanks for this info and any other pearls of wisdom and recommendations for our trip.
It was 3 days for me, although I went not long after it was introduced. Personally I wouldn't risk it, and would purchase a flight departing at least 4 days from the application date.

I applied for one for my recent trip (beginning of this Feb)....applied online the Friday morning, and got the approval letter back that same arvo (booked my flights the Saturday and flew out the next Tuesday).
Many posts on TripAdvisor confirm getting it back within 1 day....
If you submitted your application on the OFFICIAL site, and not an agent, then likely you will have it back tomorrow and will be able to book your flights on Saturday.
And others on short time scale have phoned them and been told they were on the approved list and an email authority letter was emailed to them quickly-do check your spam box?

Thanks all! My update is that we applied on Thursday afternoon and I just checked (Friday at noon) and we were approved!
I submitted my application with "iffy" photo (size , etc seemed subjective) Thursday night around 11 PM. By Friday, the following morning, at 10 AM my evisa had been processed. I didn't believe it at first but the letter was there in black and white.
And here I now sit in Yangon!
Happy travels!
