Money landeuring... perhaps. But I don't many people are going to say "Look, the son-in-law of the Burmese dictator owns an airline! Perhaps they were right to nullify Suu Kyi's victory after all." They've got all the legitimacy they want from China, ASEAN, India, etc.

Most, if not all of these people... made their fortunes on opium, illegal logging and arms dealings.... Being CEO of a nice hotel, an airline or bus-line is not a bad way to pretend some legitimacy to ones business operations.
