John Howard was a well known cyclist. I he rode with the US national team in the late '60's. I believe he also set the world bicycle speed record on a weird contraption set up to draft a huge racing car on the salt flats of Utah....Reportedly a bit of a jerk.
But maybe now he come around and is supporting a boycott of the Olympics in Beijing......
