HI All,

Heading to Myanmar next week for the first time and cant wait. Have asked questions on here previously and had some very useful replies.
I've got 2 full days in Bagan. Was hoping to do the E-bikes one day and maybe get an ox and cart for sightseeing the next day. DOes anyone know how much this would cost? Also, where is the best place to arrange a guide/ox n cart? At the hotel or source locally? Ditto for Inle, is the port (as such) area the best way to arrange a day boat trip? How much would this cost roughly and how many hours? Any other top tips?>

An ebike will cost you 6000 to 8000 kyat. You can arrange a horse cart and guide at the hotel, no idea about the cost but others may have. Ox carts are not used anymore, you would need a week to see Bagan with them.

Inle boats can be chartered at the canal, but you will be approached by people before you get there. Cost for a full day is about 20000 kyat for the boat incl. Indein. Hotels will charge a few $$ more.

I paid 15,000 for the full day boat tour st the dock. Had booked it the day before. Boat take up to 4, maybe 5 passengers. All have about the same itinerary. It is up to you to request adjustment. Do not forget that the boatman will stop at shops and restaurant that give them the best cut, often friend of the family.
