Has anybody tried to trawel in Laos with a Bangkok Airs Discovery Airpass. I will go from Bangkok to Laos in october and guess, that I will do two domistic trips by air and then back to Thailand. The homepage tells, that there are few places - and at some routes no at all.

have some questions regarding travelling in and out Laos. Currently in Thailand and want to cross the border from Chiang Rai into Laos. 1. What is the best way (safest, fastest, cheapest) to go to Luang Prabang (from Chiang Rai)

Plan is to go to Vietnam after Laos.
2. What is the best and safest (travelling alone) way to go to Hanoi from Vientiane?

Been in vietnam before, entered the country from Cambodia. Had to send my pasport away for one day in Cambodia to get Vietnam…

I'm going to spend 3 weeks in Laos and Cambodia in November. In Cambodia I only wanted to visit Angkor, since I know that 3 weeks is such a little time for two countries. I thought of flying from Luang Prabang to Siem Reap but my friend suggested to travel by train/bus. Has anyone done that trip and is it worth the time (by the way, how much time would we need?)?

hi all

We are presently in luang prabang and wanting to leave tomorrow by public bus to got to Vang Vieng. Does any one know if we can just got to the bus stop to get a ticket or do we need to arrange it with travel guys before tomorrow.

I am aware that there are two public bus that leave each day does anyone know what times they depart each day.
